As an entrepreneur, I use Wix free services to build websites that include my bio, portfolio & other pertinent information ALL THE TIME and I am beyond grateful for the amount of free services they provide!
My websites look professional and they are so easy to edit that I really don't know what I would do without this company!

It's a shame to see that so many paying customers are disappointed & it seems like the majority of the disappointment revolves around e-commerce... So this review is not meant to negate what they have experienced at all... Just to shed light on my experience, for anyone in need of a great web builder for anything OTHER THAN e-commerce needs!

I've had my website with Wix since 2017 and although there are areas that could be improved, overall I'm really happy with the service.

The good - I found it really easy to set up. I had previous experience with using another web builder company that used to be ok but turned into an absolute nightmare... Wix by comparison has been a delight! I think in the three plus years I've been with them, there have only been a couple of times when the site has gone down but not for long and the help account over on Twitter has always been helpful.

The niggles - images require a bit of tweaking when loading them to the site as tags / info don't carry over when uploading them. Apps - some are fine but most I wouldn't use as reviews reflect glitches or too basic and if you go for the paid version, the cost of using them would soon mount up as payment is subscription. Maybe worth it if you're raking in thousands a month ... I'm nowhere near that so not worth it for me.
The dashboard can also be glitchy on the lists of 'to do' stuff, encouraging you to set up payment systems or write a blog for example when these things have been in place forever.

Wix does have its limitations and it's not perfect but if you're like me with next to zero clue about HTML and CSS, this is a pretty good website builder and one I did take my time with choosing.
